Welcome to Rogers High School, Home of the Pirates! Rogers serves over 1,200 students and their families as a part of the Lauderdale County School System. We serve grades Pre-K through 12th grade. The Pirates have fielded a football team every year since 1959, winning Region championships in 1997, 2010, 2016, and 2017. Pirate Football competes in 3A Region 7 at both the Varsity and Junior Varsity Levels. Our mantra: do your job
The phrase DO YOUR JOB is our mantra. It represents a mindset of focusing on your responsibility and what you can control. We cannot worry about what everyone else is doing. We also cannot worry about how big or small our job may be. We cannot control those things but what we can control is DOING OUR JOB every single time at an ELITE level. We believe that if you “DO YOUR JOB,” you are not just completing a normal task, you are attacking a task that is important to your livelihood and you do it the best possible way while also persevering to continue to do it through adversity and other obstacles.

M- MATURITY: When what you HAVE to do becomes what you WANT to do! This represents our discipline.
O- OVERACHIEVING: This is our effort and our mindset. We need men that will go above and beyond what they are asked to do. We will always strive to do each drill, assignment, etc. better than we have ever done it before!
R- RELATIONSHIPS: This is arguably the most important part of our culture. Players must get to know their teammates. Coaches must get to know their coworkers. Coaches and players must get to know each other. We are a F.A.M.I.L.Y. Fight for each other, stick up for each other. If someone is bad mouthing the team, a teammate, or a coach do not just let it slide. Let them know you care! (FAMILY:Forget-About-Me-I-Love-You)
T- TOUGHNESS: Tough times don’t last but tough guys do! When we are struck with adversity on the field, in the classroom, or in our lives, we will preach our players how to persevere through those tough times to ultimately prevail! We will always have an excuse for WHY NOT, but we will strive to show everyone HOW we can and will!
A- ATTITUDE: This is our energy. We will show up to school and practice with enthusiasm unknown to mankind towards our purpose! This includes our positive body language!
R- RESPONSIBILITY: We are all responsible for building and maintaining the positive culture of our team. Everyone has a job to do. DO IT, BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT
Our 2024 theme: #pathof24
#PATHof24 was chosen for this year’s theme by our Leadership Council.
This signifies to our team that no matter what we will focus on our PATH no matter what the circumstance or the noise.
24 is short for 2x4. This represents the actual PATH we will follow. We will focus on our 2x4 and not anything outside of the area we are walking on.
We believe that if we can stay focused on the #PATHof24, then there is nothing we cannot accomplish together!
